ISS Officers Rescue Motorist from Flooding

On September 22, 2006, two officers from Industrial Security Service, a leading provider of quality security guards, responded to hazardous flash flooding at the entrance to AGC Automotive America in Elizabethtown, KY.  With diligence and composure, B.J. Greenwell and Clifton “Dave” Samuels were taking extra measures to warn others of the imminent danger when a nearby female motorist hydroplaned and lost control of her vehicle.  Without hesitation, both men rushed to the vehicle, which had landed in a ditch filled with water, and coordinated the first responders who were able to pull the trapped passenger to safety.

Greenwell and Samuels were recognized for being the eyes and ears for the management team throughout the duration of the severe storm situation by facilitating communication during the weekend when most communications were out.

“We were extremely pleased with B.J. and Dave’s response to the flooding,” said Tom Crittenden, Plant Manager at AGC Automotive. “Their ability to think and act quickly under pressure helped maintain control of a dangerous situation.
