Janie Van Gilder Brief Biography:
Janie Van Gilder, RN, BSN, is a Columbus Public Health nurse who works specifically on emerging infectious diseases. She is a team member in the Pandemic Flu Division who shares her medical/infection control expertise in the planning and preparedness for a flu pandemic working closely with the Columbus Public Health Office of Emergency Preparedness.
Janie is the CPH Pandemic Flu Educator who works in community outreach to provide education, strategies, tools and resources to help in the planning, preparation and response for an emergency including pandemic influenza. She has facilitated pandemic flu planning, preparedness and education for our communities in governmental, business, schools, faith-based and community organizational operations working to keep our families and community well and whole.
